On-site at Swandown is the heated indoor swimming pool situated in the reception building.
Pool towels are provided in the Lodge.
Timed slots are bookable 48 hours in advance for sole use by individual lodges.
The Cricket St. Thomas Golf Club is located on the A30 less than a mile away. The club provides members and visitors alike the chance to play on a beautiful parkland course with outstanding views across the surrounding countryside.

Fishing is available on the Estate approximately 1 mile from The Cygnet. Fishing is on a catch and release basis only.
There is a children's play area and outdoor adventure trail at Swandown.

Situated on the Estate, approximate 1 mile from the Cygnet, is the Warners' Cricket St Thomas Hotel Leisure Complex (adults only) where there is another indoor pool, gym, sauna and steam room. Check locally for opening times and prices.
Guests in the Cygnet can only eat/drink in the Hotel Lounge Bar and patio areas.
There is also a Spa offering traditional beauty therapies and a range of holistic treatments - please check charges locally.

The South West Coast Path is perhaps the UK’s ultimate challenge for the long-distance hiker - a 630-mile adventure around the coastline of England’s south west peninsula.
However when staying at Swandown you can join the path at numerous locations in Devon and Dorset and enjoy the wonders of the Jurassic Coast.

Love, love, love this property. Very light and spacious throughout and everything of top quality. Loved the reclining chairs. Bed very comfortable with lovely bed linen. The information book is very comprehensive with plenty of ideas for places to visit with approximate distances from The Cygnet given. The property is frontline with a great view. Pretty hedges are high enough to give privacy but not too high. We had a wonderful week in this property and definitely want to return.

Beautiful cottage with beautiful views. It cottage had everything you needed for a great stay and access to the pool was lovely that you can book when you want. The hosts were super helpful, called me beforehand which was helpful and available on the phone as required to answer any questions. Will definitely book it again.

This is a lovely quiet comfortable lodge with the most outstanding views. Convenient for both coast and inland places of interest to visit and a good selection of pubs nearby. Chard excellent for all shopping needs. Forde Abbey which is outstanding, despite the awful weather we had during our stay, definitely a highlight.

Had a great stay. Very comfortable. Lots of access to pool even at short notice. Very hot weather- so lots of windows were great and nice breeze on the ridge. The very Effective fan was used only once on a day when it reached 35 degrees! Views were wonderful and saw lots of swallows and swifts darting around. Very quiet and peaceful. Very well equipped. Good pubs were recommended in guest book a short drive away and we enjoyed the three we visited in the evenings. Had a lovely barbecue one evening on the terrace enjoying the views. Lodge was not overlooked, felt very private. Thank you.
